Timeless Guiding Principles
StoneHaus Mission Core Values are rooted and established in the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is our goal to honor God’s requirement of the saints. The Holy Bible gives us endless options for expressions of our Christian values. The Prophet, Micah, stated it well when he said, “And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8).
We use ‘STONE HAUS’ as an acrostic to help define our Christian culture. These Guiding Principles define what makes StoneHaus Mission who we are:
S – Sainthood: “Those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints” (1 Corinthians 1:2).
T – Trustworthiness: “Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2).
O – Openness: “We were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us” (1 Thessalonians 2:8).
N – Nurture: “Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another” (Romans 15:14).
E – Excellence: “Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord” (Rom. 12:10-11).
H – Honor: “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself” (Philippians 2:3).
A – Action: “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:18).
U – Unity: “Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being in one accord, of one mind” (Philippians 2:1-2).
S – Spirit of God: “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood” (Acts 20:28).
