StoneHaus Mission, 2024 in Review

“Every good and perfect gift is from above” – James 1:17

In 2024, StoneHaus Mission was blessed with the faithful fellowship of our partners and supporters in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am honored to say it was a year of flourishing relationships.

Kerin and I are blessed with our children, Jordan and Gigi, who are troopers for the kingdom of God. They walked closely with us throughout the year. Granted, it is by God’s design, and grand is His design.

We have also been blessed with the faithful fellowship of our dear sister in Christ, Bridget Husong. She has been a great source of ongoing encouragement throughout the year, and has become family to us. The Lord added to our lives by bringing several others into our home for close fellowship as well. This was truly a year sprinkled with love.

The heart connection we enjoy with Michael and Diana Whorton, senior pastors at Trinity Pentecostal Church, has been priceless. We have fallen in love with the congregation and count it a privilege to be part of the local fellowship. We have likewise been blessed with a brotherly relationship with Clinton Fleming, the founder of Shade Tree Health and Wellness, and author of Responding to the Call: Resuscitating the Heart of Man Back to God. Our friendship has been mutually edifying in Christ, and the focus on ministry to first responders has been taking shape beautifully.

We are extremely grateful for our relationship with brother John Tino in Kenya, and with brother Mark Moshell in Texas, founder of One Dollar One Cause. We greatly appreciate that together we had a positive impact on the lives and future of the Maasai people. Additionally, we are thankful for the brotherhood we enjoy with our dear brother George Jones. We love him and his family tremendously, and we are thrilled to have his added partnership in the Maasai mission effort. Our gratitude is also for all other ministers we have journeyed with in connection to this mission focus. Each one is dear to our heart.

StoneHaus Chapel meetings have been blessed of the Lord. Our meetings refreshed us and kept us moving forward with kingdom focus.

Our social media relationships were blessed. It was a pleasure as we navigated the election year free from the drama of political strife, while strengthening one another in faith and godliness amid the world’s concerns.

The Lord granted us wisdom and success in product development and sales. The development of Anestu – Luxe Skincare, added to everything we offer through StoneHaus Gardens, made the path to wellness more fun and exciting. God used this to help carry us through the year, as He made possible everything we did to bless people through our products.

Overall, 2024 was a year of God’s grace abounding in its various forms. We thank God for granting that StoneHaus should stand in 2024, stone beside stone.

Our prayer for 2025 is that God would continue to give us each the grace to stand strong in Christ as we await His glorious appearing, and that we would each be a source of strength for one another, to the glory of God our Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let the “Amen” be spoken by us to God’s glory.

Yours In Christ,

Rev. Oscar Rivera, StoneHaus Mission, General Overseer

StoneHaus Chapel

Our times of gathering are always blessed.

Our Chapel services schedule is posted on our official website. Whenever we gather with two or three, we know the Lord is with us. We cherish every moment.

StoneHaus Gardens

Autumn has arrived, and StoneHaus Gardens is beginning to prep for the colder season to follow.

Winterizing is always a challenge. We are trusting that getting an early start will pay off. Sealing windows and doors are our first focus.

Along with winterizing, we are slowly rolling out the decor for the holiday season.

Foreign Mission: Maasai

Building Project

The $25,000 fundraising effort for a new facility in Ntulele continues.

Additional to the cost of construction is the $4,700 required for a land survey and title.

This facility will be the Maasai ministry headquarters, as well as the church building for the Ntulele congregation. Among other activities, the building will also be used to accommodate ministry conferences, conduct baptisms, and host traveling ministers.

$5,000 in pledge donations has been received to date. The need still exists for financial donors to step up and empower this project.

Ongoing Food Relief

Severe poverty continues to be prevalent in the region. Compassionate donors can give directly towards the food relief effort.

Nicholas and Anna Knoebel Mission Trip

Nicholas and Anna Knoebel had a very fruitful visit to Maasai land in September.

They had the opportunity to visit throughout the region and encourage all the local churches. They also helped the people of the Maasai wilderness with many needs.

They were able to bless many children with school supplies and support. The Knoebels also presented a corn mill to a town of widows and the fatherless. This will enable the widows to produce crops on their own to support themselves and their children. They are looking forward to going back next year to do more for the children and widow’s.

Nicholas and Anna are very appreciative for all the prayers and support. This visit to the Maasai has prompted them to launch the Pole Project with a focus on supporting women and children.

They are looking forward to going back next year, and have already begun their fundraising effort for that trip. Ongoing prayers and support are needed and appreciated.

Donations to the Pole Project and to Nicholas and Anna’s 2025 mission trip can be sent to One Dollar One Cause.

StoneHaus Chapel

Our times of gathering are always a blessing from God.

Our Chapel services schedule is posted on our official website. We do not seek to gather large crowds, but we do enjoy Christian unity in simplicity and sincerity.

StoneHaus Gardens

Summertime is here, and StoneHaus Gardens is hot.

Our chickens are producing plenty of delicious eggs daily. We also continue to develop our Elder Berry Lane products.

Our family gets to enjoy everything that comes from our small farm, and we sell at reasonable prices to raise a few dollars in support of our ministry.

Foreign Mission: Maasai

Building Project

Fundraising efforts are underway for a new facility in Ntulele. This structure will replace the one which was unexpectedly torn down three months ago.

Construction of the new worship center will cost $25,000. A land title and survey is also required prior to starting the building project.

As part of this effort, a temporary meeting tent has already been funded and provided. We invite everyone to learn more about this project, and to participate through prayers and financial contributions.

Ongoing Food Relief

The recent flooding continues to cause a great need for food relief. A GoFundMe page has been set up to funnel the funds for this effort.

Any funds given towards the Building Project in excess to the required amount will be redirected for food relief.

Financial donors can also give directly towards the food relief effort.

Nicholas and Anna Knoebel Mission Trip

Nicholas and Anna Knoebel have shifted the date of departure for their mission trip to Maasai due to medical reasons.

Anyone interested in contributing to this opportunity to bless the Maasai in Jesus Name can view the donations opportunity list in the Kenya Trip 2024 group page.

We continue to pray for Nicholas and Anna to have a Spirit-filled and fruitful journey.

StoneHaus Chapel

Spring has sprung in Northwest Arkansas. Nonetheless, regularly scheduled Chapel services continue to be held in the StoneHaus Mission main residence until the Chapel facility cleanup project is complete.

Some major improvements to the StoneHaus main residence were made in March. The enhancements have made our times of gathering in fellowship all the more comfortable and enjoyable. We have prayerful anticipation in the Lord that improvements will continue to be made throughout the next several months.

StoneHaus Gardens

The springtime garden enhancement project has begun. Kerin purchased several edible and medicinal plants which we plan to put into the ground very soon. They will be useful for feeding people and for development of Elder Berry Lane herbal products. We received three and a half cubic yards of two-year horse manure compost, and we are beginning to lay out the plant beds.

A New Addition

We are rejoicing with Bishop John Tino and his family. God blessed them with a new addition. With the help of two midwives (due to doctors being on strike), John’s wife, Mercy, gave birth at home on April 6, 2024 at 6:56 pm Maasai time. We are thankful to God that mother and baby are both doing well.

Demolished Church Building

We continue to pray for the body of Christ in Maasai. In March 2024, one of the church buildings was demolished. Due to discontinued support of the mission, the land was reclaimed by the owner, and the structure, including the foundation, has been completely destroyed. Bishop John Tino salvaged as much material as possible. The salvaged material is being held on the property of a benevolent member of the church. It is uncertain how much of the material will actually be useful for reconstruction. We join the Maasai church in prayer for God’s guidance and provision, and for the necessary Spiritual strength and unity of the congregants.

Nicholas and Anna Knoebel Mission Trip

It is exciting to have Nicholas and Anna Knoebel preparing for their mission trip to Maasai, Kenya in June. StoneHaus Mission has been announcing their trip to let the body of Christ know they are accepting donation items to deliver in person. The donations opportunity list, made available in the Kenya Trip 2024 group page, helps interested individuals know the types of contributions they can make. We continue to pray for Nicholas and Anna to have a Spirit-filled and fruitful journey.

StoneHaus Chapel

The winter season, with its short hours of sunlight and less than favorable weather at times, has caused us to place the Chapel building preparation project on hold.

However, Chapel services continue to be held as regularly scheduled in the General Overseer’s residence. Friday night prayer meetings have continued to be blessed with the presence of the Lord, as well as worship services and fellowships on Saturdays.

We will continue to meet in the StoneHaus Mission main residence until further notice.

Foreign Mission: Maasai

Praise be to God for the rain He has been sending over the past couple of months. We continue to pray for Him to bless with an abundant garden harvest and thriving livestock.

Maasai mission has three plots of land on which to build rental housing to help several families within the community. Indigenous missionary, Bishop John Tino, says, “Generating an income through rental property will help the local mission be financially capable of meeting basic needs, without needing to seek support so often.”

Two plots are located in Ntulele. The third plot is located in Sekenani, where Bishop John Tino has recently stepped in to replace the pastor who fell to a moral failure.

We will remain in prayer for those hurt by this situation. We will also be praying for the fallen pastor to genuinely repent, and that he would be fully restored by the Holy Spirit in God’s timing. Until such time as the pastor shows fruit in keeping with repentance, and with a minimum timeframe of one year of showing such fruit, Bishop John Tino will continue to minister directly to the Sekenani community. John has been a healing presence to the community in this critical hour. StoneHaus Mission is thankful for John’s quick response in addressing this situation. We are also thankful for his wife’s support of her husband, having been faced with the reality that John must be away from the family often, as he commutes weekly to be in Sekenani.

The three rental buildings will each be 3,600 to 4,000 square feet, and will each provide nine or ten rental units. Each building is estimated to generate a monthly revenue of $500 – $600 USD. Maintenance expenses and reserve funds will be set aside from generated revenue. A few units will be kept available for housing missionaries and pastors who visit the areas to provide support to the mission.

At the estimated cost of $30,000 per building, plus 5 water tanks for each building estimated at $500 per tank, this building project calls for raising $97,500 before the end of this calendar year. Construction of the first building will begin when the first $30,000 USD are in hand. All donations toward this effort will be pooled together by One Dollar One Cause. Everyone is encouraged to pray and to give their financial support, and to direct potential donors to the One Dollar One Cause website (www.1d1c.com). Donations should be earmarked “For building project.”

Bishop John Tino and his wife, Mercy, are expecting their new baby to arrive in March or even as early as the end of this month. We are excited for them, and ask that you join us in prayer for God’s blessing of health for both mother and baby.
